If you’re one of those people who is desperately waiting for the second season of Netflix’s supernatural drama/thriller “Stranger Things“, then count me right there on board with you. With several questions left unanswered, as well as a few raised during the last several minutes of the final episode, a second season will be a welcome return to Hawkins, Indiana!
To show off his own excitement for the second season, French artist Jérémy Pailler created his own fan poster hyping up the return of the show in 2017. Writing “Please Netflix, let me do the next poster for Stranger Things” on his Facebook page, the poster shows Winona Ryder’s Joyce Byers holding onto Christmas lights while an adult-looking hand is reaching out towards her but is held back by what appears to be the Demogorgon, both arms turning into some sort of yellow glowing flesh. It’s beautifully designed and makes wonderful use of negative space, letting the white background almost overpower the entirety of what we’re seeing, which is a stark contrast to the all the dark background promo art we’ve seen so far. I guess Pailler really went “upside-down” on this one! …I’ll see myself out.
Below is the poster with a few detail shots. The close-ups allow one to admire and appreciate the intricate detail that went into the final product.
