This year’s eighth season of FX’s “American Horror Story” will begin on September 12th, and as we recently learned, it’ll be the season that crosses over the worlds of Season 1’s “Murder House” and Season 3’s “Coven.” The returning and new cast members, you ask?
Confirmed so far are Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Joan Collins, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Billy Eichner and Adina Porter.
The returns of Emma Roberts and Taissa Farmiga have also been teased.
Over on Instagram recently, Eichner posted a photo of he and the “AHS” Season 8 cast out to dinner, with one actor hidden by an image of a ghost laid over top of the photo. Eichner teases that whoever is beneath the sheet is “a secret friend,” and that it’s gonna be a wild season.
Naturally, the hottest rumor is that Jessica Lange is the “secret friend,” which would mark her return to the “AHS” family after departing the series post-“Freak Show.” Just about one year ago, Ryan Murphy had teased that he’d want to bring Lange back for what was at that time the eventual “Murder House”/”Coven” crossover, noting that he could probably bribe her.
Given she had major roles in both seasons, we sure are hoping to see Lange back this year.
