New Gameplay Trailer For ‘Second Extinction’ Details Mission Walkthrough; Early Access Road Map Released

Systemic Reaction have dropped another gameplay video for their upcoming dino shooter Second Extinction, showing from start to finish a “research and rescue” mission. On top of that, the devs have revealed their plans for Early Access, which kicks off on October 13th.

The roadmap (which you can see below) isn’t exactly forthcoming as to what the exact dates are for the additions. But, at least for October and November, we can expect new enemy mutations, mission difficulty settings, and what’s being called a new “emergence event”. I guess we’ll find out more once the game launches on October 13th.

Second Extinction is also planned for the Xbox Series X and Xbox One, though those dates haven’t been announced as of yet.

The full release of V Rising is coming up quick. And just in case the upcoming Castlevania crossover wasn’t enough, Stunlock has released a new gameplay trailer showing off the new Ruins of Mortium endgame zone for V Rising.

Once the heart of the powerful Vampire civilization, the Ruins of Mortium now lies in ruins, teeming with the cult-like remnants of Dracula’s forces. Players will encounter the Draculin, creatures tainted by Dracula’s influence, and face off against his Vampire Generals. The ultimate challenge awaits as players journey into the depths of Mortium to confront Dracula himself. While battling through his forces and disrupting dark rituals intent on reviving the ancient Vampire king, players will uncover ancient powers and prepare for the ultimate showdown against the tyrant himself.

Ruins of Mortium is just one piece of the new content for V Rising when it launches in full. Here’s a rundown of what to expect:

V Rising exits Early Access on Steam on May 8th, alongside the Legacy of Castlevania crossover. A PlayStation 5 version will also be released later this year.
