The Separate Ways” DLC for the Resident Evil 4 remake finally got its reveal last week from Capcom. And with its release this Thursday, Capcom has unveiled the launch trailer for the Ada Wong-centered story.

Per Capcom’s press release, “Separate Ways” explores another side of the Resident Evil 4 remake, following Ada Wong on a clandestine mission that reunites the agent with Leon S. Kennedy during his search for the president’s missing daughter. Alongside the release of “Separate Ways,” a free update for “The Mercenaries” DLC will go live the same day, introducing Ada Wong and her notorious employer Albert Wesker as playable characters for the popular bonus mode.

In “Separate Ways,” Ada Wong travels to a lonely and rural part of Europe to infiltrate a village controlled by the religious group known as Los Iluminados. Under orders from Albert Wesker, Ada is assigned to obtain the cult’s darkest secret: a mysterious material known as “the Amber.” Her operation intertwines with Leon S. Kennedy’s search for the president’s missing daughter, providing an alternate perspective on the main story that uncovers events that unfold behind the scenes.

Alongside the highly acclaimed gunplay, combat, and knife mechanics of Resident Evil 4, “Separate Ways” introduces an additional feature to the experience that takes the fast-paced action to exciting new heights. For this exhilarating mission, Ada is armed with a Grappling Gun that can be used to swing across chasms, make rapid ascents, and plunge into the depths below. She can also wield the device in combat to take on enemies in close quarters and launch into melee takedowns from a distance.

Resident Evil 4 is out now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. Meanwhile, the anticipated VR Mode for Resident Evil 4 will arrive this Winter.

Kickstarter Goal Achieved for Video Game Adaptation of ‘Lady Death’ Comic With ‘Lady Death Demonicron’

Lady Death fans will be getting a video game to call their own. Franchise creator Coffin Comics has announced that Lady Death Demonicron, a canonical beat-em-up video game in the Lady Death universe, has been funded on Kickstarter and is currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch, courtesy of developer Art of Play Games.

With Lady Death Demonicron, the Lady Death franchise marks its 30th anniversary, which began way back in 1994 (though the character first appeared back in 1991). The Kickstarter for Lady Death Demonicron launched just three days ago, and has already reached its goal of $150,000 USD, with the campaign on until May 24.

“We’re excited to handcraft the next chapter of Lady Death in video game form with the creator of Lady Death Brian Pulido and his incredible team,” says Ash Nicholls, Director at Art of Play. “It’s time for Lady Death to conquer the video game space with the leadership of Art of Play,” says creator Brian Pulido. “Demonicron is true to Lady Death’s savage spirit. I can’t wait for players around the world to get their hands on it.”

Lady Death Demonicron will centre on Lady Death (naturally), who just wishes to mourn her friend in peace. Unfortunately, a horde of demonic enemies has swarmed the cemetery gates. These malevolent forces hound Lady Death between realms, invoking a hunt through alternate realities that bring forth a sinister mystery. Poised to help is Ravenheart, a haunted swordsman prepared to accompany Lady Death through these ominous realms in search of answers to a convoluted mystery.

In Demonicron, players will move through hand-drawn environments, accessing the heroine’s lethal sword skills, destructive magic, and strong intuition. You’ll be able to upgrade your kit as you battle through the beat-em-up’s 15 levels, earning new swords and uncovering brutal finishers to slay a path to victory.
