‘Slender: The Arrival’ 10th Anniversary Update Available Today on PC and Consoles [Trailer]

The day has finally arrived for fans looking to dive into Blue Isle Studios’ 10th anniversary upgrade for Slender: The Arrival.  Previously available on Steam, Slenderman’s terror is also now available on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, featuring completely overhauled graphics and enhancements.

Speaking of enhancements, the 10th anniversary update for Slender: The Arrival comes with a brand new chapter called “Nightmare”, following Charlie Matheson’s father as he descends deeper into madness. Slender: The Arrival features a complete visual overhaul and the option on Steam to swap between the original version’s graphics and the new update by switching branches on the Steam client.

This is only a taste of things to come for Slender: The Arrival, as Blue Isle announced a few weeks back the roadmap for more content and further enhancements for the game. That includes an extended Slenderman storyline, co-op multiplayer, and cross-platform modding. This is all expected to arrive in Q2 2024.

Meanwhile, for those who can’t get enough of Slenderman, keep an eye out for Blue Isle’s S: The Lost Chapters, which can currently be wishlisted on Steam. Details on the game are still forthcoming, but S: The Lost Chapters touts itself as “a brand new type of horror”, with a narrative that features a mix of new and old stories.

Remember back in 2022 when developer Survios had announced that they were teaming up with 20th Century Games to develop a new Alien title? Well seeing as it’s Alien Day, Survios has announced their brand-new VR title, Alien: Rogue Incursion. Coming “Holiday 2024” to the PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, and Quest 3, Rogue Incursion will feature an original story that “fully surrounds players within the terrors of the Alien universe”.

Details on the game are light at the moment, but the official site describes the upcoming title as being “designed by Alien fans for Alien fans”, with Survios aiming to craft a “technically advanced, and frightfully immersive Alien virtual reality game.”

Seeing as Alien: Isolation never got official VR support when it was released, this is obviously a welcome announcement. In the meantime, if you’re keen to experience an Alien game in VR, you can always check out the fan-made mod for Alien: Isolation by Nibre_, which allows both the Steam and Epic Games Store version of Alien: Isolation to be played using the Oculus.

And speaking of Alien: Isolation, as you might expect, it’s got a hefty 80% discount going on at the moment on Steam until May 1. So if you still haven’t grabbed it after all these years, this is as good a time as any.
