The trailer trailer provides a closer look at the new Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns storyline, as well as showing off a glimpse of Ghostface’s Fatality!
The story for the Khaos Reigns expansion continues the cinematic narrative centered on the new threat that has emerged from an alternate timeline, led by the ruthless Titan Havik. To defeat this menace, Fire God Liu Kang must rally his champions and put faith in his enemies before his New Era of peace is turned into khaos for the realms.
Additionally, the video highlights new gameplay moments for Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot, who will all join the roster when the expansion releases, as well as four new character skins available as a bonus for those who pre-order Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, including Wedding Scorpion, Empress Mileena, and klassic Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 versions of Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot.
Lastly, we get a further glimpse at Animalities, which veterans of the series will recall allows all playable characters to morph into an animal to annihilate defeated opponents, and Towers of Time, a returning mode with an on-going rotation of challenges and in-game events. Both of these will be available as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 1 owners in conjunction with the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns launch.
No word yet on when Ghostface will arrive, but he will be joining the roster as a guest character, alongside the T-1000 (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, played by Robert Patrick) and Conan the Barbarian.
Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns arrives September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and the Nintendo Switch.

Steampunk Horror Adventure ‘They Will Come’ Launches Later This Summer [Trailer]
After giving fans a taste of the game earlier this year, Game Pop Studio’s debut title They Will Come dropped a brand new trailer during the Future Games Show, alongside with confirming a release date of Summer 2026 on Steam. For those who don’t know, the game is a cinematic steampunk horror adventure directed by Jeff Troutman – an award-winning Art Director with over 30 years of experience at studios including Midway Games and Petroglyph.
The game is set aboard The Endeavor, a vast airship and manufacturing site for hundreds of powerful automatons, and home to eleven-year-old Benjamin and his family of inventors. When crow-masked cultists known as the Wretched Ones seize the ship and take his family hostage, Benjamin refuses to give in. Armed with a slingshot and the hope that the dormant giant robot Talus is still somewhere in the hangar below, he sets out to take back everything that has been taken from him.
They Will Come is played from a close, cinematic over-the-shoulder perspective, placing players inside the tension of every encounter as they explore the Endeavor’s hangars, catwalks, maintenance tunnels, and observation decks – all hostile territory. Staying hidden is the only reliable path to survival: use shadows, environmental puzzles, and a scattered army of small automatons called Embots to keep one step ahead of the Wretched Ones. Talus – enormous and powerful but drained of his energy cells – needs Benjamin as much as Benjamin needs him; restore his power and the dynamic shifts, putting the hunters on the back foot.
