You knew it was coming. Skunx Games has announced the next chapter in the Dark Pals series in Dark Pals: The 2nd Floor, a DLC expansion to Dark Pals: The 1st Floor, which launched this past April. Aiming for a 2027 release on Steam, Dark Pals: The 2nd Floor will expand the story and world introduced in The 1st Floor, with more of the mysteries surrounding UpWard and D.A.R.K. still to be uncovered.
After the events of The 1st Floor, players take the elevator down into a destroyed underground facility that has been abandoned for over 40 years. The halls are filled with old Dark Pals equipment and remnants of “the raid”, slowly revealing what happened to the facility and the people inside it.
Further inside, players will encounter a mysterious member of D.A.R.K. From there, the story starts to reveal more about D.A.R.K., UpWard, and the reason the player has returned.
“With the popularity of The 1st Floor, over a billion views all over the internet in just two months, we saw a dream come true! We were overwhelmed with hilarious and positive comments,” says founder of Skunx Games, Winston van Graafeiland. “Then we started making The 2nd Floor, and somehow I think we managed to make it even more insane than the first game. We can’t wait to see what people think!”
In The 2nd Floor, players encounter new creatures in typical Dark Pals fashion, continue the journey with their companion Inky the squid plush gun, and have to survive the devourer to find a way towards the 3rd Floor.
