Taste Joseph Bishara’s Music For ‘The Other Side of the Door’ With This Soundtrack Sampler
This Friday marks the release of 20th Century Fox’s The Other Side of the Door, which stars Sarah Wayne Callies (“The Walking Dead”) and Jeremy Sisto. Directed by Johannes Roberts and produced by Alexadre Aja, the movie tells the tale of a family who is struck by tragedy when they lose their son and the lengths they will go to in order to say their final goodbye, which obviously doesn’t end well for anyone.
To celebrate the upcoming release, we’ve exclusively got our hands on an soundtrack sampler for the film’s music, which was composed by the fantastic Joseph Bishara (Insidious, The Conjuring)! The sampling shows that Bishara utilized his strengths in creating deeply unsettling and eerie passages while also venturing into ethnic instruments and tones, used lovingly to add new layers of emotion.

Jennifer E. Montgomery makes her feature directorial debut from a script she co-wrote with director of photography Andrew Davis, inspired by Montgomery’s first-hand experience with tragedy involving her best friend.
“Months before the incident, there were signals that her world was unraveling,” says Montgomery. “I could feel the pressure building, though I didn’t know what form it would take. I never could have known what violence would come, and I certainly never imagined making a film about it.”
Austin Stowell (“NCIS: Origins”), Suraj Sharma (Happy Death Day 2U), Mojean Aria (Reminiscence), Amol Shah (“For All Mankind”), and Zenobia Shroff (“Ms. Marvel”) round out the cast.
