While there are still a few films to go at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, Sean Byrne’s The Loved Ones has struck a cord with me and has me believing it could be the best “genre” film at the fest. “I’m digging on this new breed of subgenre, which is brutal, uncompromising and hyper-realistic. Carried by strong performances (by everyone) and stunning cinematography by Simon Chapman, The Loved Ones is a beautiful, fresh and engaging horror film that’s a must see.” Click the title for the full review and stills.
