Screen Media Acquires ‘Phasma Ex Machina’, Retitled

Screen Media Films has acquired rights to the supernatural thriller Ghost From the Machine (review) from XYZ Films. The company will release the film, originally titled Phasma Ex Machina, on DVD and VOD in the second quarter of 2011. Matt Osterman’s debut feature follows a young man who, while taking care of his younger brother after the death of their parents, invents a machine that engages the supernatural, with unintended results. Jennifer Kramer produced and Jon Maichel Thomas co-produced. You’ll find a trailer inside, while you can click the title above for stills, poster and a review. The pic screened at this past summer’s FanTasia Film Festival in Montreal.
