Tim Burton Regular Pens ‘The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft’

John August continues his trek down the horror path as Universal Pictures has hired him for The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft, a potential directing vehicle for Ron Howard. August is also working on Frankenweenie and Dark Shadows for Tim Burton. Mac Carter and Jeff Blitz has penned the previous draft.

Created by Mac Carter and Jeff Blitz, the comic book borrows elements from Lovecraft’s life, such as his family’s struggle with mental illness and his own bouts with writer’s block, and transforms the young writer’s darkest nightmares into reality when he comes across a book that puts a curse on him and lets the evils he conjures up loose on the world.

I’ll be the first in line for anything tagged “Lovecraft”. In the Mouth of Madness is still one of my favorite movies.
