Magnolia Acquires Sundance’s ‘Tucker & Dale vs Evil’

After sitting on the shelf for the past year, Magnolia Pictures has scored US rights to Tucker & Dale Vs Evil (review), reports Screen Daily.

The award winning comedy-horror screened in Sundance last year and stars Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine as a pair of well intentioned Appalachian hillbillies who fall foul of a group of preppy campers.

Magnolia plans an Ultra VOD release on August 26 followed by theatrical roll-out on September 30 for Eli Craig’s film, whose roster of honors includes the Midnight Audience Award at SXSW, the best director award at Fantaspoa and the best motion picture award at Sitges. ‘Transformers One’ Trailer – Chris Hemsworth Voices Optimus Prime in Brand New Animated Movie

A wild marketing stunt this morning saw Paramount launching the official trailer for Transformers One off into space, but don’t worry, you don’t need to put on a spacesuit in order to watch it. The official trailer for the brand new animated movie is now available online.

In theaters September 20, Transformers One is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.

In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, Transformers One features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, and Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.
