[FEAR Awards] The Most Anticipated Horror Game Of 2014!

This category is one of my favorites of the FEAR Awards, because it’s all about looking to the games that are still on the way. There are so many horror games, both indie and AAA, that have me ridiculously excited to finally get my hands on them. I’m not a patient person, so the ten gems I have waiting for your votes are all causing me a fair amount of pain.

Get to votin’ after the jump!

Greatest Gore | Best Arsenal | Best Visuals | Best Zombies | Most Original
Best DLC | Best Multiplayer | Best Indie | Best Slender Game | Scariest Game

The Forest, Alien: Isolation, Routine, Daylight… Such great horror games this year are comming.

I know! 2014 is going to be a great year to be a horror fan.

  • I’m having a hard time getting behind Kickstarter games (I.E. Paranormal: The Town). The reason is pretty simple:

Because of that, I needed to go with Dying Within, although the rest of the AAA produced games are looking just as stunning, if not moreso in their own right.

I’ll be honest though, the game I’m really looking forward to is the Call of Cthulhu game you guys covered a few days ago. That looks like one of the most faithful adaptations to Lovecraft’s universe that I have seen in a Long time.

If we knew more about the Call of Cthulhu game — which could very well be amazing — I would’ve included it in the poll. Since all we have is some concept art, I decided to omit it this time.

And I totally get not wanting to vote for a crowd-funded game because there’s a definite possibility that something may happen with one or more of the above titles. It’s a risk, but the crowd-funded games I included above are ones I have some faith in, so I felt they deserved a nomination.

I chose The Evil Within, but I was also closely looking at Alien: Isolation and Until Dawn. There are a lot of good looking games coming out this year.

  • Blood-Sicles

So many good horror games on this list, so I went with the one closest to Silent Hill- Daylight. Looks like it’s gonna have atmosphere thick enough to cut with a chainsaw.

  • Slasher716

    I chose The Evil Within…

Runner up would be Alien: Isolation.

    Love both these games.

Keeping an eye out for Day Light and The Forest. Hope they will be smart enough to port The Forest to PS4.
