Eleven is normal in every way… but one.
Each and every Thursday on the road to Season 2, Netflix has been releasing fun “Stranger Things” posters that pay tribute to the films that served as Season 1 inspirations. So far, the art tributes have included Stand by Me, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Running Man and Alien.
This week’s poster pays homage to Firestarter, the 1984 adaptation of Stephen King’s novel. Drew Barrymore starred as Charlie McGee, a young girl with psychokinetic abilities who finds herself targeted by a sinister government agency that wants to control her.
Sound familiar? Yup, Charlie and Eleven share more than a few things in common, and this latest #ThrowbackThursday poster plays up the connection!
The second season of “Stranger Things” hits Netflix on October 27.
