The Orphanage
This is one of those movies that people argue over whether or not it’s a horror movie. Personally, I think that it falls very firmly into the horror spectrum and deserves all the accolades heaped upon it.
This is a movie that requires you to put your emotional self into the film. It isn’t easy and it can hurt but that’s what makes it so good. When the conclusion rolls around, you shouldn’t be the same person as when you started this movie. And for that alone it’s one of my favorites.
