The Ring
As far as remakes go, this is probably one of the best ones out there, especially from the J-horror remake craze that happened in the 2000’s. It’s clever, it’s beautifully crafted (some of the shots are works of art), it has a fantastically creepy score (courtesy of renowned composer Hans Zimmer), and the characters are believable.
Now if only they hadn’t screwed up basically everything in the sequel…
