4. ‘Repo Man‘ – 1984 – Dir. Alex Cox
The directorial debut from Alex Cox would go on to become a cult classic and for good reason. Featuring a stellar cast that includes Emilio Estevez and Harry Dean Stanton and a great theme song from Iggy Pop, Repo Man is a movie everyone should have in their collection. Like all Criterion releases this is loaded with special features, with my two personal favorites being a “cleaned up” television version of the film which I find interesting and an illustrated production history by Cox.
It’s safe to say few movies rock as hard as Repo Man rocks.
