Splinter (2008)
You all know how much I love creature features, and Splinter is no exception. Released in an extremely limited number of theaters back in 2008, it certainly deserves more mentions when discussing recent high-quality horror movies. The creature itself, which is never given a name, is what us horror audiences always clamor for: original. It’s a parasite that causes black splinters to grow out of its host and turn them into mindless monsters. If you haven’t seen this one, seek it out immediately!
