The Den

I will never stop promoting the shit out of The Den. It was one of the few films to legitimately terrify me last year and its filming style of using webcams to capture footage feels organic to the story rather than just a cheap gimmick. The film does require a significant amount of suspension of disbelief, but if you give in you’ll be in for a helluva ride. It follows Elizabeth (Melanie Papalia) as she designs an internet chatroom called “The Den” for a research project where she tries to chat with as many people around the world as possible (it’s basically the same thing as Chat Roulette). This of course leads a serial killer(s) to her door and he (they?) begin to infiltrate her life in increasingly horrifying ways.
