The beauty of the trailer for this tense little film is that is perfectly captures the narrative trajectory of the film. It starts out as a sort of quirky comedy before flying off the rails into total batshit insanity (and a very scream-y heavy metal soundtrack). The review blurb over it being “Martha Marcy May Marlene as remixed by The Coen Brothers” is the perfect analogy for the film (and this trailer). It’s just a two-minute descent into madness.
