Ever since it was announced that Netflix would be giving new life to the Gilmore Girls I’ve been trying to think of a way to somehow write about it here on Bloody Disgusting. That likely reads as a strange sentence, I know, but in addition to loving horror I love the crazy adventures that hit the small New England town of Stars Hollow for seven seasons, so why not bring those two loves together? I’m not alone in this thinking, either. BD’s very own Daniel Baldwin and Trace Thurman are also big fans. In fact, I don’t know anyone that has actually sat down and watched the show that dislikes it. I know lots of people that say they hate it of course, but they’ve never seen it. In fact, I challenge anyone who hasn’t seen it but thinks they hate to give it a chance. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Anywho, moving on…
It didn’t take me long to figure out how to work Gilmore Girls into Bloody Disgusting. The cast of Gilmore Girls and the world of horror have crossed paths many a time. What I decided to do was come up with a list – because we all love lists – of cast members from the iconic WB show that have appeared in horror films. This proved to be more difficult than I thought. Not because it was hard to find those that have appeared in both the show and works of horror, but because frankly there’s too many. In order to refrain from having a very long list, I had to come up with some rules. Well, a rule really. The rule is simple – in order to make this list, the cast member had to have been featured in the opening credits at some point during the shows 7-year run.
Got it? Good.
