Jared Padalecki – Dean Forester
Jared Padalecki may be the easiest and most obvious choice on this list. Padalecki appeared in 63 episodes of Gilmore Girls (and he’ll be back for the mini-series) as Dean Forester, Rory’s first boyfriend. While Dean wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, he was a good looking, charming fellow that meant well and cared for Rory. He treated her kindly and was basically the perfect first boyfriend. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on which side of the fence you fall on, that all changed once a rebellious young hunk by the name of Jess strolled into town. Dean and Rory would eventually break up, but Dean would continue to pop up throughout the series up until the 5th season.
Genre fans are without a doubt very familiar with Padalecki. After his successful stint on Gilmore Girls, Padalecki landing the co-starring gig as Sam Winchester on Supernatural. He’s now been on that show for 11 seasons, appearing in every episode, with a 12th just around the corner. Can you believe Supernatural has been on for 11 seasons? Feels like just yesterday I was seeing promos on the CW.
Padalecki’s genre ties don’t stop at Supernatural, however. He’s also appeared in Cry Wolf and the very under-appreciated remakes House of Wax and Friday the 13th. He’s actually the lead in Friday the 13th, which I consider to be pretty damn good. Oh, and he has an uncredited in something called House of Fears.
