Costume Quest 2
Looking for something you can play without traumatizing the kid folk? If a more family friendly experience is what you seek, Costume Quest 2 is something everyone can enjoy. This quirky (and cheap!) RPG trades the jump scares and gore for developer DoubleFine’s trademark charm and wit. It’s not an especially deep or challenging RPG, but for me, it did just enough with its limited toolset to keep my attention. The humor and charm go a long way in carrying it the rest of the way.
It’s fun, funny and if my inability to put it down is anything to go by, Costume Quest 2 seems to have been built from the ground up to be as addictive as possible. For parents, the best part will likely end up being the money you save by not having to pay for your kid’s therapy bills after they walk in on you getting your face torn off by a soulless android during a late-night game session.
