Oh man, this is possibly my favorite episode of American Dad! ever. This is one of those episode I can just put on whenever I want to laugh because I laugh every time. The setup is that Stan gets Steve a gun for Christmas and he accidentally kills Santa Claus, who then leaves mysterious notes for the Smiths (THC You in Hell, Your Nuts Will Roast on an Open Fire, I Noel What You Did in the Woods, etc.) and wages a ware against them with his elf army. The B Plot involves Roger looking for a mysterious moonshiner in the mountains and making Deliverance jokes. The climactic battle is probably one of the most horrific (and not child-friendly) things ever put on TV, and it’s awesome. You’ve got elves and reindeer getting shot, elves holding severed arms and intestines, giant killer snowmen, baby killer snowmen, and Santa’s pre-killing catchphrase of “Season’s Bleedings!” This episode has everything you could ever ask for and more in a subversive holiday special.
