Ah, the obligatory It’s a Wonderful Life episode. As American Dad’s first Christmas episode on it’s new network, TBS, this one was an okay start. It certainly wasn’t as funny as most of the previous episodes, but it had its moments (and look! They can say “shit” now). Basically, Stan becomes jealous of Principal Lewis’ single life and wishes he could be single to. Cue the alternate reality where Stan and Francine never met. It’s a pretty standard setup that yields a few laughs. For me, the funniest moment is the grimmest: when Stan suicide jumps off the bridge and gets show literally hundreds of times mid-fall but the CIA. I have a morbid sense of humor so not everyone may feel the same. I just thought that was an excellent piece of physical comedy.
