All Hail Barry, the Cardboard Cutout King
Without Barry Wheeler, everything falls apart. Barry is the heart, soul, backbone and funny bone of this series. Without his reassuring presence, Alan would’ve fallen to the Darkness before the credits started rolling on the first chapter. If/when Alan Wake 2 becomes a thing, Barry can’t simply return, he needs a role that’s as critical to Alan’s war against nighttime as he is to the game itself.
Other characters I wouldn’t mind seeing more of include, but certainly aren’t limited to: Bright Falls KBF Radio host Pat Maine, Mr. Scratch and both halves of the Old Gods of Asgard. Thomas Zane can also return, but he needs to wear his marshmallow astronaut outfit and he cannot, under any circumstances, let his feet touch the ground. The floor is lava until I or Sam Lake say otherwise.
