Who says we need a sequel to World War Z when Saber Interactive’s action-strategy game is fulfilling that hole for nearly two million gamers? Well, some I’m sure. But I digress. Even if there wasn’t a lot of buzz for the game, World War Z is now approaching a rather lofty milestone across PC, PS4, and Xbox One after being out for just over a month.
This comes after the game had sold one million copies in its first week. Still, Saber Interactive isn’t one let this achievement go to waste, judging by the trailer.
Paramount Pictures, owners of the IP, are also taking notice. “World War Z has fast become one of our most successful interactive games to date,” says Josh Austin, SVP of Worldwide Licensing and Interactive at Paramount Pictures. “It’s a testament to both the incredible co-op action experience that Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have crafted, as well as the strong appeal of our hit franchise with fans across the globe.”
In case you missed it, Saber Interactive also outlined a bunch of the free content heading your way in their Season One roadmap unveiled a few weeks back. And check out our review of the game if you’re still on the fence.
World War Z is out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
