Dive Into the Atmosphere of Psychological Horror Game ‘REVEIL’ With New Gameplay Showcase Video [Watch]

Published

on

While it’s not a demo, developer Pixelsplit and publisher Daedalic Entertainment have the next best thing for their upcoming psychological horror game REVEIL in the form of a new Gameplay Showcase video. Joined by indie enthusiast CozyGamerKat, members of the Pixelsplit team talk about REVEIL’s development, story, environment, and sound design, while also sharing the gameplay and a “never-before-seen spine-chilling chase sequence”.

In the video, viewers will experience the beginning of REVEIL, as well as a short but intense segment that takes place in a later part of the story. The video follows main character Walter Thompson as he wakes up in his bedroom, just to realize soon after that this is not his home – but a place where different memories of his get interwoven with each other. Walter starts the search for his daughter Dorie while encountering dream-like scenes that all seem to revolve around the Nelson Bros Circus where he once worked.

REVEIL releases on March 6th on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, while a PlayStation 4 version will follow later this year. Unfortunately for Xbox One players, due to the team’s limited resources, they’ve decided to focus on the development on the previously-mentioned consoles, with the Xbox One version of REVEIL no longer being in development.

‘Dave the Diver’ Adds ‘Godzilla’ as New Free DLC Crossover [Trailer]

Published

After a no-brainer DLC crossover with Lovecraftian fishing sim DREDGE that was released last year, MINTROCKET’s Dave the Diver is pulling another no-brainer with its next DLC: bringing the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla, into the game as a free DLC. Available now, the DLC adds Godzilla-related content to Dave the Diver, along with some tweaks and bug fixes.

The story goes that G-Force has been following Godzilla, leading them to the depths of the Blue Hole. While doing his diving thing, Dave is confronted with Godzilla, injured and recovering from his wounds. It’s not long before one of Godzilla’s foes, the mutated crustacean Ebirah, shows up to cause trouble.

The Godzilla DLC adds three new missions that centre around the kaiju himself, along with new dishes inspired by Godzilla and Ebirah. You can also collect Godzilla figures that have been scattered throughout the ocean.

Now while the DLC is free, there’s a caveat in the form of availability. The DLC will only be available until November 23, 2024. After that, the DLC is gone. If you do download the DLC, it’s yours to keep after the distribution period ends. It also still remains yours even if you delete and reinstall it after November 23.

Dave the Diver is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.
