Dive Into Over a Half Hour of Gameplay Footage for ‘Cronos: The New Dawn’ [Watch]

Published

on

Bloober Team has followed up with the gameplay footage from last week for Cronos: The New Dawn with an additional 35 minutes of new gameplay footage. The footage showcases the beginning of the game, following Traveler ND-3576 as she lands in the New Dawn district, tasked with finding her mysterious Predecessor.

Obviously, since this footage is the start of the game, for those who don’t want to be spoiled, you may want to skip around.

Cronos: The New Dawn is set in two eras: the decaying future and 1980s Poland. Players are plunged into a world inspired by the real Krakow district – Nowa Huta, where survival means bending time itself. You play as a Traveler, an agent of the mysterious Collective, emerging from a dystopian future to dive back into time and extract people before they perish in the apocalypse. To complete the Collective’s mission, players will need to survive a deadly wasteland created by a cataclysmic event known as the Change, filled with monstrous abominations that will challenge players’ combat abilities.

As explored in previous gameplay reveals, the enemies you’ll encounter in Cronos: The New Dawn known as Orphans employ a mechanic known as The Merge, where they can absorb nearby corpses to transform mid-battle into deadlier forms, gaining new abilities and dramatically shifting the flow of combat in real time. Only by burning the corpses can players prevent The Merge from occurring.

Look for Cronos: The New Dawn this fall on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series.
