In this hilarious new RadioShack spot, Friday the 13th franchise’s Jason Voorhees learns about 3-D printing, and creates a replica key to the employee’s house. I guess he should expect a visit and a gashing machete wound?
Earlier today we shared this insane Super Bowl spot that Jason Voorhees, Chucky, Slimer, Teen Wolf, Alf, Hulk Hogan and more raiding a RadioShack. READ MORE
It’s been a long and art-free couple of months, but Modern Art is back, and that’s thanks to the wonderful work of digital artist, Adam Miconi. I never thought I’d look at some of the horror genre’s most infamous killers and call them adorable, but Miconi’s managed to make the likes of Chucky, Leatherface, Jason, Freddy, Ghostface, and Michael all look like they’re the type who can appreciate a good cuddle.
Sure, they’d probably have a newly bloodied knife, chainsaw, or machete under their pillow, but that’s to be expected. Read on for more.
One of the best ways to get notices these days is to do something super creative and have it go viral. While the following won’t go viral, it will garner a fine share of eyeballs.
An imgur user shared a mass of “retro-style” movie posters.
While it’s unclear if he’s the culprit behind the madness, at least we get to enjoy the following of which includes: Alien, Psycho, American Psycho, The Shining, Friday the 13th, Poltergeist, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and many more. READ MORE
A while back we had Kane Hodder, the man behind Jason Voorhees’ mask in four Friday The 13th films, give us his Top 10 Favorite Songs. Still, I find myself sometimes thinking, “What would Jason have on his iPod?” Lo and behold, a track came to me today that seems like it’d be absolutely perfect for Mr. Voorhees as he terrorizes the counselors at Camp Crystal Lake!
Below is the brand new video for punk rock band TV Freaks‘ “Knife”, which is an ode to the sharp, deadly weapon that is so beloved by the horror genre. The song comes from the band’s sophomore album Two (more information here). READ MORE
Before you get too freaked out, I suspect Jason will be in the film. It’s just that his absence is at the very least a possibility.
A few months back we reported that Paramount is releasing Friday the 13th (2015) on March 13, 2015. We’ve heard a lot about a potential found footage angle (which I oppose) and we know that Platinum Dunes is producing the film for Paramount. READ MORE
Good Bad Flicks shared a fun new video in which they ask, “WTF happened to movie posters?”
While I don’t wholly agree with their biased stance – especially since they take no time to share all of the great movies posters over the past decade – it’s really fun to see the side-by-side comparisons of similar posters in various genres.
How lazy have movie posters become? Watch and see… READ MORE
It’s down to the final hours of 2013 and after appreciating what this year has given us it’s time to think ahead to what 2014 will be able to offer. There are some amazing albums that are slated for this upcoming year and I’ve listed a few that stand out for me. Check out the list below and make sure to let me know what albums you can’t wait to hear! READ MORE
When this gorgeous custom controller isn’t stalking unsuspecting counselors at Camp Crystal Lake it’s helping one lucky soul pwn noobs in Killzone: Shadow Fall. It’s also making me extremely jealous, for I would very much like to own one.
In case you can’t tell from the image above, this custom PlayStation 4 controller was inspired by one of our favorite serial killing psychopaths — Jason Voorhees — and specifically that beaten up hockey mask he likes so often likes to wear. No one bugs Jason about wearing the same mask every day, but suddenly it’s weird if I wear the same outfit for a few weeks in a row.
Pictures after the jump!
Back on June 5, 2013 it was revealed that Warner Bros. Pictures had given up their rights to Jason Voorhees to Paramount Pictures in order to (edit) “share” in distributing The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan’s next picture, Interstellar. The news was huge as it took Warner Bros.’ hand out of the Friday the 13th pot, giving Paramount the ability to move on the long-gestured 13th Friday the 13th. It was beyond huge for us horror fans…
Here we are six months later and Warners has already released a teaser from Nolan’s Interstellar, and I think it would be fun to see some footage from the film the studio wanted to badly they’d give up the rights to Jason Voorhees for. READ MORE
Last week we learned that Platinum Dunes and Paramount Pictures’ new Friday the 13th is opening in theaters on March 13, 2015. F13 is by far my favorite horror franchise, so to say I’m a huge fan would be something of an understatement. A few months ago I hosted an 8 hour marathon for free just so I could see 400 fans of the series in one place and feel their collective excitement for it. Yet, for the first time in my life I’m not looking forward to a new Jason outing. Why? Because the rumors of a potential found footage angle continue to persist. And I’ll continue to be nervous as long as they do. READ MORE
Tuesday night Bloody Disgusting told you that Jason Voorhees would be returning to theaters on March 13, 2013.
So far there’s no other news available – just speculation and rumor. The only thing that we have confirmed as fact is that Platinum Dunes is still producing for Paramount Pictures.
Dunes, Michael Bay’s company run by Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, produced the modern day 2009 remake that starred Derek Mears as the iconic slasher Jason Voorhees, who tortures a group of teens trespassing on his land.
With Paramount announcing the date alongside the title Friday the 13th (2015), speculation has run rampant that the studio is actually remaking the franchise once again. There is no confirmation of this, but the fact that it wasn’t announced as Friday the 13th Part 2 is definitely eyebrow-raising.
And let’s not forget that the next Friday will in fact be the 13th in the franchise, if you count Freddy vs. Jason.
I expect a celebration. READ MORE
Breaking news Tuesday evening as sources tell Bloody Disgusting that Paramount Pictures’ new Friday the 13th is taking the first Friday the 13th spot of 2015, opening in theaters March 13, 2015.
No word yet on writers, if Derek Mears will return as Jason Voorhees, or what version of the sequel they will use. There are rumors of a potential found footage angle that Paramount might be pursuing.
While there are no official confirmations regarding exactly what form the sequel will come in, Platinum Dunes is rumored to be returning to produce. We hope to have confirmation on that soon. The 2009 Friday the 13th remake, directed by Marcus Nispel, made $90M worldwide. In it, “A group of young adults discover a boarded up Camp Crystal Lake, where they soon encounter Jason Voorhees and his deadly intentions.” READ MORE
It’s things like this that make me want to be a parent. Imgur/reddit user Prettigirl2203 has a kid named Thor that is a big fan of horror. And for this Christmas, Thor wanted a Jason Voorhees doll. However, Friday The 13th isn’t exactly known for being the best source of material for children’s toys, so it was up to Prettigirl2203 to create something of her own for her special little man. So she decided to tackle one of horror’s most prolific killers and make him cute and cuddly! Below is a gallery of all the steps she took to create this fine doll and it’s 100% awesome!
Also, as a bonus, I’ve included Prettigirl2203′s Slenderman cake that she created for Thor’s birthday that includes all eight pages! READ MORE

I play a lot of video games and I watch a lot of horror movies, but I never realized how many qualities some of gaming’s most iconic characters share with a few of our favorite horror film psychopaths. Kirby Krueger may be my favorite of the bunch, because it’s so obvious that it kind of bums me out I never saw the connection until now. If you’re more of a visual soul, Dorkly has you covered.
Check out these amazing mash-ups after the break!
I’m not normally a fan of Bing but this is actually pretty cool. You know how Google has their “Google Doodles” – those alterations to their homepage they do every holiday or on special occasions? Well Bing has given their entire homepage a thorough makeover.
You’ll notice the creepy Poltergeist TV right off the bat, but move your cursor around and you’ll discover a few other horror references! Some of them lead to standard searches, and some lead to imagery. If you’re bored and the office and waiting to get drunk at the Halloween party in a few hours, check it out!

It’s still that time of year when we keep dolling out Halloween Treats and, for whatever reason, I’m really hung up on the “slasher as baby” thing. Earlier in the week I brought you collection of them from one artist and now I’ve culled a bunch of different types of art (illustrations, toys, dolls) from a bunch of disparate places.
We’ve got baby versions of Jason, Freddy, Pinhead, Leatherface and… Jason (there’s a lot of him out there)! Head below for a quick look before moving on with your day! Click to make big!
I’m pretty sure I find Pinhead to be the most disturbing one of all. So lifelike. READ MORE
Earlier today I happened upon the following illustrations by Andreas Werchmeister and I knew I had to share them with you guys. While I always prefer the more threatening, cinematic versions of these iconic characters, sometimes it’s refreshing to see them disarmed and wide-eyed a bit.
Dubbed Freddy Jr, Leatherface Jr and Jason Jr by the artist, these are definitely worth a look. Make ‘em big! READ MORE
You know a soon-to-be-married couple is going to do well when they share similar passions and interests AND they’re willing to show off that connection in an engagement photo shoot. Cute engaged couple Josh and Van had an engagement photo session scheduled with photographer Brandon Gray, who decided to spice up the shoot by setting the location at the worst possible campground known to horror fans: Camp Crystal Lake.
Now, as if you couldn’t guess it, things started off well and nice and then quickly devolved into a full on slaughter fest. Check out the beautiful, deceased couple below! READ MORE
