Deep Rising
This film was panned at the time of its release in 1998, and I can kind of see why. The CGI is terrible, the characters are boring and one-note (though I do love Famke Janssen’s absurdly named Trillian St. James), but it’s also a lot of fun! The movie is dumb, but there are some pretty awesome gore effects. I already told you I was a sucker for aquatic horror and this film is no exception. It’s a creature feature worthy of being seen.
