Rogue
This is definitely not an underrated film, per se, but it was cheated out of a wide release. Like The Relic, isn’t mentioned nearly as much as it should be when discussing great horror films. Rogue is Greg McLean’s (Wolf Creek 1 and 2) slow-burn crocodile film that is beautiful and suspenseful. Seriously, the cinematography is amazing (the score is too). Michael Vartan and Radha Mitchell play sympathetic leads. The slow burn completely pays off at the end as well, with a climactic battle to the death within the croc’s lair. If you happened to miss this one back in 2008, seek it out immediately.
