From Hell (2001)
Johnny Depp is no stranger to Gothic horror, either. While From Hell has its detractors (namely Alan Moore, the author of the graphic novel upon which the film is based), but From Hell exhibits many of the traits of Gothic horror, and it’s a pretty good film to boot. You’ve got the intricate sets, (many) prostitutes damsels in distress, overwrought emotion and an overall gloomy atmosphere, making From Hell a must-watch for anyone looking to bone up on modern Gothic horror films.
