6. Phantom of the Opera (Kino Lorber, Region A)
Coming in at number six is Kino Lorber’s Phantom of the Opera (my review). There have been a lot of different releases of this Lon Chaney monster classic and this most recent edition may very well be the best. The set includes 2-disc with multiple different versions of the film. There are a few special features including an interview with Gabriel Thibideau. But the thing that really sets this release apart is experts from the sound version of the film that Universal released in 1930. If you’re a big fan of the film this is a release I suggest picking up.
