From Dusk Till Dawn (January 19, 1996)
Robert Rodriguez’s fantastic vampire crime thriller (which was written by Quentin Tarantino) just celebrated its 20th anniversary, and for good reason! 20 years later and it still feels as fresh as it did back when it was released. It may have birthed two very inferior sequels, but we now get to enjoy the movie on a different medium with El Rey’s new television adaptation of the film. It stumbled in the first season but really turned things around with a stellar second season (which acts as the “true” sequel to the movie).
