Final Destination 2 (January 31, 2003)
It’s hard to believe that what is arguably the best Final Destination sequel (I go back and forth between this one and Final Destination 5) was dumped in the wasteland that is January in 2003. Filled with some of the most memorable deaths in the franchise, David R. Ellis’ (RIP) sequel eschews the dramatics of James Wong’s original film and capitalizes on the fun and humor found in the premise while still maintaining a healthy amount of suspense with somewhat likable characters (I still get upset every time Nora dies in the elevator and when Kat gets that spike through her head).
