My Bloody Valentine 3D (January 16, 2009)
Okay, My Bloody Valentine 3D may not technically qualify as a good movie, but it certainly knows what type of film it is and just runs with it. In that respect it is successful. Filled with over-the-top gore, some great kills and a cast full of adults playing adults that are also decent actors, the film is only marred by its over-reliance on CGI blood and a ridiculous twist ending, which threatens to spoil the entire film (they should have kept the ending from the original, guys). It was also pretty successful, grossing $51.5 million on a $15 million budget.
