The Evil Within
It might not have been original enough to match Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami’s past work, but my that may have been because The Evil Within is too preoccupied with trying to find creative ways to turn your stomach.
A four-armed blood witch who fancies bursting from pools of blood and a legion of “living” human husks that have been impaled by spikes and wrapped in barbed wire are just a few of the things you can look forward to seeing in this game. Basically, if there’s a creature or environment that looks like it could’ve come from a nightmare a serial killer might have, you can be sure The Evil Within is going to throw it at you.
