Outlast: Whistleblower

Outlast would work here, too, but as far as “what the hell did I just see?” moments go, Outlast: Whistleblower takes things to an entirely new level.
Unlike the other games on this list, Whistleblower will only take you 2-3 hours to complete. Short and sweet. It never outstays its welcome, and the pacing has been greatly improved so it doesn’t suffer from any lulls in the action. It’s a gory roller coaster ride from beginning to end and there’s one section in particular, near the end of the game, that’s especially gruesome.
I think I can speak for all of us when I say bring on that sequel.
If you’ve made it this far and the games I’ve listed have put nary a dent in that majestic bird’s vice-like hold on your digestive system, we may need to band together to come up with other solutions, like self-isolation.
Come Thursday, have a friend or loved one tie you to a chair and lock you in a room. When they ask you why you’re making such an odd request, you can tell them it’s a fun game Europeans do when they’re bored and they don’t understand it because they’re American and probably think pilgrims weren’t massive jerks.
Whatever you do, I wish you luck.
