5 Horror Games That Would’ve Made Better Movies!

P.T. (Silent Hills)

Don’t get me wrong, I loved playing the P.T. demo. Even still, I can’t help but wonder how well its unique style would translate to the silver screen in what I imagine would play out as some sort of deeply unnerving lost episode from The Twilight Zone.

Its striking visuals, conservative sprinkling of some seriously effective jump scares and an ingeniously subtle narrative that’s delivered via garbled radio broadcasts as you progress through its hellish, endlessly repeating world would be more than enough to make up for the fact that it can no longer be interacted with in real-time.

Plus, in becoming a short film, two of the demo’s more frustrating issues — the lack of direction and ambiguous puzzles — would be immediately remedied. With that out of the way, we’re free to pay attention to all those little details that Kojima and Co. worked so hard on.

Or maybe it’d just be better as a found footage flick?
