5 Favorite Possession Movies of ‘The Atticus Institutes” Chris Sparling

THE LAST EXORCIST

I distinctly recall being in a New York City subway back in 2010, pulling up to the station, and seeing the poster for this movie (the one with the girl unnaturally bending backwards, more or less forming her body into the shape of the number nine) plastered to just about every wall. This image alone was quite unsettling, and the movie proved to be even more so. I really enjoyed the fake documentary style utilized by director Daniel Stamm, but what I appreciated most was the idea that the main character revealed that he was a fraud – as were exorcisms altogether. It made for a great setup for when this same individual was thrust into a real scenario and forced to be what he had for so long pretended to be.
