The Clutter House (Holcomb, KS)
The murder of the four members of the Clutter family became famous across the country when Truman Capote wrote his masterpiece In Cold Blood. In November of 1959, Richard Hickock and Perry Smith murdered the Herb Clutter, his wife, son and one of his daughters after failing to find the $10,000 they thought was hidden in the house. The house still stands today, though it is currently unoccupied.
