7 Epic Kill Scenes from the ‘Resident Evil’ Movies

Oops, You Missed One
Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)

The third installment in the series opens on a touch of deja vu: Alice regains consciousness in an abandoned Umbrella Corporation laboratory, in a recreation of RE1‘s opening scenes. But before long, we realize the game has changed, and all bets are off. After dodging deathtraps (including a reprise of the deadly laser grid) with her usual skill, our heroine realizes – just inches from freedom – that she failed to spot the trigger of a floor-mounted cluster gun. This scene caught most audiences off guard, and opened up the possibility that anything could happen from here on out. It turns out this isn’t the original Alice, but a clone – one of hundreds – thereby introducing a major plot device for the series. A more sensible action film would have been derailed by this twist, but the RE series just shrugs that shit off and moves on… just like Alice does.
