7 Epic Kill Scenes from the ‘Resident Evil’ Movies

Smoke ’em if You Got ’em
Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)

Although Carlos (Oded Fehr) is one of my favorite characters in the RE films, I know better than to get too attached to any of them, as this series tends to follow Joe Bob Briggs’ #1 ground rule for a proper horror movie: “Anyone can die at any time.” At least he gets to go out in style, claiming one of the most heroic deaths in the franchise to date: barreling down a desert road at the wheel of a fuel tanker (I’m seeing a recurring theme here) in a suicide mission lifted from The Road Warrior, the infected Carlos longs for one last smoke as he crashes the vehicle into thousands of rampaging zombies… and guess what? He finds one. In true badass mode, he lights both the cig and the fuse on a bag of explosives, with a final suave half-smile to the audience before… well, you know. Well played, bro.
