The Paul W.S. Anderson directed Resident Evil: Retribution 3D hits theaters today. The film stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Michelle Rodriguez, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand and Li Bingbing. And now Brad (Mr. Disgusting) writes in with his review! He didn’t love the movie, but thinks it will certainly satisfy fans of the series. I tend to agree – I think it’s the best one of the bunch.

“Good or bad, it’s time to be honest – the sole reason any of us watch these movies is to see Milla Jovovich kicking ass in a skintight outfit. This time we’re also blessed with Sienna Guillory squeezed into a tight blue Jill Valentine costume (even though her acting was appalling). Still, I couldn’t help but wish that Michelle Rodriguez had a larger role. In fact, it made me wish she had a bigger role in everything. I can only hope that with the inevitable sixth installment she becomes “the” villain.”

Sony Screen Gems’ forthcoming Resident Evil: Retribution, which is directed once again by Paul W.S. Anderson, is less than two months away and we’re starting to see an “ultimate saturation” point with the marketing materials. A few weeks back we showed you a one-sheet featuring Alice (Milla Jovovich) going global (at least that was the tagline). But now a new international poster has decided that the look from two weeks ago would go over better gussied up with some zombies. I’ve included both below the jump for comparison.

In theaters September 14, “The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Seven More New Images From ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’!

It’s not in theaters until September 14th, but with all the Resident Evil: Retribution images hitting today you’d think the film was coming out tomorrow. Now we have seven new pics from the film, including what I think is the first look at Kevin Durand’s character. It also has some more zombie killing action from that bright white hallway we’ve been seeing (which actually looks pretty cool). They come courtesy of Kinopoisk.

Have you ever had that moment where you’re blissfully mowing down Necromorphs with your plasma cutter or literally mowing down zombies in Dead Rising, only to come across that part of the game that almost ruins everything? Pretty much every game has it, but that doesn’t lessen the blow when you finally find it. It’s like when someone violently shakes you while you’re sleeping, ruining the amazing dream you were having about that saucy minx who works at the Starbucks near your work. You go there every day–even if you don’t want a coffee–just to see their face. If you’re feeling extra brave you might pretend to forget your usual order, just to see if they remember you. Then when they aren’t there or they don’t remember you, you’re struck by a wave of sadness that only a Mountain Dew Pitch Black and a hug from TJ can soothe. Thursday’s ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ Trailer Event Has A Teaser

Milla Jovovich, star of Resident Evil: Retribution, will be participating in a live global streaming webchat leading up to the launch of the film’s trailer on Thursday, June 14th at 11:00am EDT. Fans at home can log on to that same Facebook page to watch the Q&A live; the event is being translated into ten languages worldwide. Fans can also submit their questions online at Facebook for a chance to get it answered live by Milla. The full trailer will be posted after the webchat on the film’s official site.

And the event now has a teaser, which you can check out below. It’s only 17 seconds, so any new footage will be slight! Also – weigh in! Do you think trailers should have teasers? Or are you fine just waiting?

ScreenCrush.com’s Jordan Hoffman will be moderating. Fans will be able to attend the event by logging on to Facebook and printing out an invitation; admittance will be granted on a first come first serve basis. Fans at home can log on to that same Facebook page to watch the Q&A live; the event is being translated into ten languages worldwide. Jill Valentine Readies for ‘Resident Evil 5′ Action!

Teased at the end of Resident Evil: Afterlife, Sienna Guillory confirmed on Twitter that she’ll be returning once again as the illustrious Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 5.

“RE:5 alert! Training begins! I aim to mostly put less in the big hole on the front of my face than comes out of the little one on my arse,” she stated.

The biggest part of this news is that this basically confirms that Sony Screen Gems is moving ahead with a sequel, as opposed to the eventually-planned reboot using the working title Resident Evil Begins.

There is still no director attached, nor word on Milla Jovovich returning as Alice, but Sony has slated the 3-D sequel for release on September 14, 2012.

If you ran into DC Douglas while walking down the street you’d recognize him instantly as he’s the voice of one of the best villains of all time, Albert Wesker. It would also seem the guy has a rather incredible sense of humor because Mr. Douglas took time out of undoubtedly busy day to record an advert for Uroboros in the style of the Old Spice ads that have become some insanely popular lately. Watch it and I guarantee the video below will make you a better person.

Last year was a good race, and Dead Space narrowly beat out Left 4 Dead for the win. Well Barry, and I don’t want to leave out Rebecca Chambers, will both be making returns to the series in the upcoming Resident Evil 5 Mercenaries Reunion! You can’t believe it?? Resident Evil 5′s upcoming Mercenaries Reunion is going to bring several new characters from the game it to mix up the Mercenaries Mode. Recently announced was Excella, and BSSA captain of Delta Team for the African branch, Josh Stone. 2 new costumes were revealed for the upcoming Mercenaries Reunion for Sheva and Chris. Chris will be in his “Heavy Metal” outfit, while Sheva will be in a ladies business suit, not pants but a business skirt of course. You can check out Chris’s game play video below, and Sheva’s past the break.

Almost a year after Resident Evil 5 was released, you’re going to be able to get your hands on some excellent downloadable content, and the Resident Evil 5 “Gold Edition”. There will be 2 new downloadble episodes, a bunch of new costumes, and a new Mercenaries Reunion mode, that will have 8 new playable characters.

It will all be on 1 disc for the PS3, as for the 360, the game will be on a standalone disc, and you will be given a download “token” for all the DLC. Capcom announced that Resident Evil 5 for the PC will be shipping September 29th to the states. However, it gets better. It’s going to be in 3D. PC gamers will be getting the ultimate Resident Evil 5, that will include NVIDIA’s new GeForce 3D Vision technology (wireless 3D Vision glasses sold separately), new costumes and a new and improved mercenaries mode with three times as many enemies.
