Cabin Fever: Patient Zero – Bloody Cunnilingus
I actually had a lot of fun with this movie. It’s definitely not good, but it’s an entertaining way to spent 97 minutes. At the very least, it satisfied my inner gore-hound. Patient Zero was filled with amazing practical effects and lots of disturbing imagery. I appreciated its effort to outdo many of the set pieces from the original film (but keeping the tone more comedic than horrific). No scene displays this one-upmanship more than the cunnilingus scene. Played completely for laughs, the scene is still pretty gross and made me gag a little bit. I even know it was coming! I just don’t think I was prepared for that particular visual. Also, the line “Oh baby you’re really wet down there” before the guy came up for air had me in stitches. The acting may be terrible and the writing not that great, but you gotta give this one points for knowing its audience.
