In the Mouth of Madness (February 3, 1995)
John Carpenter (or the studios he makes movies for) must have an affinity for releasing his films in February, because this underrated gem is the second film of his on this list! This time he goes the Lovecraftian route and follows John Trent (Sam Neill) as he tries to track down an author whose books are causing people to go insane. The plot doesn’t always make sense, but it’s a taut little horror film that should be appreciated more.
