Halloween
John Carpenter has always been good with conjuring an atmosphere. Ok, the music could be seen as a little dated now with his excessive synth work in his early films, but the piano work in this is threatening and fits perfectly. The darkness in this film is overwhelming, both inside and out on the quiet street, and the feeling of being watched lingers throughout.
