Wolf Creek wasn’t actually that successful upon its release. Even if it had been released at another time of year, it would still be seen as somewhat of a disappointment, but since it was made on a scant budget of $1 million, it just barely qualifies for a spot on this list (and it did significantly better in its origin country of Australia). It has also become quite the cult hit, spawning a sequel and even an upcoming TV series!
