8. The Wicker Man
The only reason The Wicker Man doesn’t rank higher (lower?) on this list is because I can’t say with full commitment that I don’t get some enjoyment out of it. It is a complete bastardization of the original film and ruins any semblance of mystery or suspense that that film had, but you can’t deny that Neil LaBute’s horror comedy (and yes, it is a comedy, unintentional though it may be) has an extremely high entertainment value. In the end, it’s a shitty film that does a disservice to its predecessor, but it’s a rollicking good time if you’ve got some friends over and a bunch of drinks.
